I have the following completed, unpublished novels: The Morland Syndrome - a psychiatrist's attempt to destroy the new identity of amnesiac John Morland now MacMasters, the story of a miserable, angry, profane man fixated on a sexually selfish woman. A significant powerful, timeless American novel.

A Dangerous Man - a sequel to Legacy of a Spy, a dramatization of the ad hoc action of contract agent, Bill Slater, who kills American Ambassador to Switzerland to prevent him from being kidnapped and certainly exploited by Russian Intelligence. A mature book about a counter intelligence opereator who questions the long range sociological effects of the ever increasing size and power of Americn Intelligence. Now available on my web (below)

A novel of WWII - speciically the Air War over Germany. To The Survivors is the story of the bomber crew of The Devil's Lady. It is a combination of actual events and fiction depicting the differing behavior of the men.
Heroism (self sacrifice), Fear, Patriotism, War, Tactics. Desertion - a realistic, authentic story of men in combat - not heroes, just youngsters who have suddenly found themselves in harm's way and have the time to think about it - and their roles.

Detours is an autobiography. After 970 pages, recalling a detailed largely comic history, I hadn't even gone to war. It is fun and I am the butt of much of the story. I am trying to put it together.

Written in the early sixties at the height of the ColdWar, I couldn't find a publisher.
Too close for comfort and certainly no joke.
I had recently resigned from three years in the CIA and Legacy of a Spy had been launched (along with super reviews) by Little,Brown which over the years in 19 editions has sold more than a million copies.

After consulting with Victor Savile, producer of Goodbye Mr. Chips and many other excellent films and the original purchaser of the film rights to Legacy of a Spy, we agreed to offer it for sale as a film. Victor said I wrote in scenes so conversion would be easy.

I suggested Alec Guiness for Adolph. Victor agreed and sent the manuscript to "Alec" Such wolderful contacts and I was walking on air! At 32 I had Vistor Savile acting as my agent!
Alec replied that he had too many prior committments.

We(Victor) sent my manuscript to Peter Sellars. He and his producer kept it a long time - during which - they made Dr.Strangelove a film very reminiscent of my effort. Del Handel, Saville's legal rep and now a friend of mine recommended legal action. I declined. It is dificult to understand but I was so confident of my ability to come up with ideas and stories I honestly felt I didn't need to deal with such unsavory people.

peace. The book tells the story of how he tries to convince the Russians to install an atomic bomb of his design - and manufacture in the New York Subway as Their guarantee of World Peace.

Vicktor Saville's film companycontacted Tyrone Power for the lead in Legacy. Power died of a heartatack in Spain, Robert Taylor bowed out and Laurence Harvey's price went too high after he was nominated for an Acedemy Award. Worst of all Victor Savile died and also my wonderful Literary Agent head of the Littauer Agency.

Self Publishers

The proper use of the Internet is the best promotion for all novels, and POD is the best system. The reasons for this should be obvious. Briefly, POD is much quicker. The procedure for using major publishers require contacts with readers,editors and complicated contracts - in their favor and a much lower return per book. Time, from submission to publication, at least a year. I know because I have been through it NO warehouse expense.
All that is needed is the Book and a reliable printer with speediy response.
It all boils down to the proper use of the internet to reach, in detail, many millions of potential buyers - the largest audience in the world.

I believe contact with appropriate Bloggers can accomplish this.

Am looking for suggestions.
